Although only a minor hit, studio New Line have decided to line up a sequel to last year's 3D adventure "Journey To The Centre Of The Earth". Starring Brendan Fraser, it was a modern take on the classic Jules Verne tale.
New Line have hired the first film's writer to blend stories "Mysterious Island", "Treasure Island" and "Gulliver's Travels" into another exciting 3D event for Fraser and co.

"Empire" reports that Columbia Pictures have announced their plans to remake the 90's sci-fi actioner "Total Recall". Based on the novel by Philip K. Dick, this was a huge hit for Arnold Schwarzenegger, with it's bone-crunching violence and complex plot.
Although the effects now look dated, we can't find any real reason to remake this - we are big fans of the original.
